Local Partnerships

New Charlotte's purpose is serving our city. We begin our call to service with the area surrounding our church, the Independence Corridor. Our non-profit partners allow us to impact the area we serve more fully -- and to serve areas throughout our city.

Matthews Free Medical Clinic

The Matthews Free Medical Clinic provides free, quality health care to low income, uninsured patients in Mecklenburg and Union counties. The clinic provides acute and chronic primary care, as well as women’s, psychiatric, orthopedic and pharmacy clinics. They rely on volunteer service to provide care and grants and private donations to fund their work.

Matthews Help Center

Matthews HELP Center provides short-term assistance to those experiencing financial crisis in our area. MHC provides food, clothing and financial assistance, and it is funded entirely by the proceeds of MHC's own Backporch Treasures Thrift Boutique and charitable donations.
