Previous Projects:

Day One
We provided Teacher Survival Kits for teachers at Greenway Park and Idlewild Elementary School. These kits included school supplies, backpacks and supplies for the classrooms to alleviate the cost teachers would ordinarily incur as they began the school year.

Project Books
Each student in both schools received three books of their choosing to read over the summer! We are helping to combat the “summer slide” in reading that each student faces each summer if they don’t keep up with their reading.

Project Coats
Every student (650) at Greenway Park received a new, warm jacket to prepare them for the cold winter ahead. We partnered with Columbia, Lands End and The Children’s Place to provide quality jackets at cost. We also donated coats to Idlewild Elementary.

The Teacher Project
We provided 100 iPads and set up Room 211: A Teacher Resource Room for the teachers and students at Greenway Park. We are helping teachers care for and prepare their students to succeed. New Charlotte is hoping to close the digital divide that exists in the technology world, and also provide coats, shoes, backpacks and school supplies for the teachers to care for their students.
