Student Serve Weekend
We've got a fun serve weekend planned for middle school and high school students on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19! We'll partner with Urban Ministry Center of Charlotte to learn about homelessness in our city.
Students should be dropped off at New Charlotte Church at 7:00 p.m. for a pizza & popcorn movie night. We'll watch The Pursuit of Happyness.
Some small groups will sleep over on Friday at leaders' homes, while others will not. You'll see more info about that during registration. Groups that do sleepovers will have transportation provided from the church to the host home, so please have all their stuff ready when they're dropped off at church. If your student doesn’t participate in a sleep over then pickup is at 9:30p at the church.
On Saturday morning, January 19, students who sleep over will travel to the Urban Ministry Center in Uptown. If your student doesn't sleep over, please drop them off at 8:45 a.m. at 845 N. College St. Our experience at the Ministry Center will be from 9:00-11:30 a.m.
After our morning, we'll make our way over to the Epicenter to have a party at Strike City. Students will eat lunch, bowl, play in the arcade, and hang out with their friends. Please pick up your student at the Epicenter (210 E. Trade St.) between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m.
Cost for the entire weekend of events is $12/student. Register your student today HERE.
